New Job Opportunity: Pop-up Shop Manager

Full Time, Temp Contract, 3 month with possible extension – Minimum Wage (sorry, it’s all we’ve got)

Frame Again was launched in 2014 to get people printing and framing photos again. We offer a new style of frame with colours to suit your picture and a service where we print, frame and deliver your photos within 48 hours. We were featured on this season’s Dragons’ Den and after turning down an offer, proceeded to successfully crowd-fund the investment we needed to grow the business.

 

As we look to build the business, we have opened a pop up store in Piccadilly Circus tube station where there are a number of fun pop ups. We are seeking a store manager to help run the shop. We want someone willing to own the brand story, think up creative displays to engage customers, serve customers quickly with a high attention to detail and make people have a great framing experience.

 

We need someone Mac literate willing to learn or already familiar with iPhoto, Photoshop and various file transfer techniques.

 

The salary is terrible but the shop is great fun and the business is exciting and it’s an opportunity to lead this function in a new start up with huge potential to transform a market place.

 

The Pop Up Manager will involve working directly with our Founders across our:

  • Social media and media outreach;
  • Creation of displays in the shop each day;
  • Running our Frame of the Day programme;
  • Talking to people about potential investment;
  • Performing all sales duties at the shop;
  • Helping manage stock. We are looking for someone who:
  • Has some level of retail and/or customer service experience;
  • Has ideas for how we can grow Frame Again;
  • Loves the start up experience;
  • Wants to throw themselves in to something and do a great job at it;
  • Is prepared to muck in but also is prepared to think strategically and creatively about new ideas for the business;
  • Has strong opinions about what we should be doing and is happy to lead and ‘manage up’.

 

The position will be based out of our Piccadilly Station shop. This position pays National Minimum Wage of £6.50 per hour. Sorry.

 

Hours are likely to be 11.30 – 7.30, 5 days per week. Weekend work is an option. It is an initial 12 week contract but there may be the opportunity to extend.

Energy and attitude is more important than experience for us, if you want to be part of an adventure and are willing to muck in and work hard and have good attention to detail, you could be great for this.
